Our Story/Vision

Hope Church was birthed from a passion and desire to see people have a real and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that every individual is valued by God and worthy of His grace and forgiveness. We believe our worth to God is not based on the things we do, but based on the incredible grace and love that God showed us on the cross. We believe that authenticity, humility, transparency, honesty, and relevancy are the key to ministering to our community and our world. We are focused on our mission of “Loving God, and loving people.”

Our Team

Meet the staff of Hope Church

  • Pastors Robert and Tammy Burnett have been pastoring for over 40 years and have been Pastors at Hope Church since 1997. They have prayerfully sought the leading of God for Hope Church, and have ushered in a culture of transparency, generosity, graciousness, and acceptance.

  • Pastor Eric and Ashley Bozeman have been involved in ministry at Hope Church since 2003. Stepping in as the Co-Pastors at Hope, they minister to a generation of young people, young adults, and young families who are curious about God and/or who are passionate about Him.

Our Mission, Vision, Values, and Beliefs

At Hope Church our mission has always been to lead people to Jesus, transform them through the Gospel message, and release them to build the Kingdom of God.

Our vision that drives this mission is the sharing of the HOPE found in Jesus with our neighbors, community, and all we encounter.

We believe in two very important things that are the crux of all ministry here:

1) People Matter

and

2) Equip People For the Work of God and His kingdom

To realize our vision, accomplish our mission, and engage in relevant ministry, four values drive our community...

1) Intentionality: everything we do at Hope Church has a reason and is designed to point people back to Jesus.

2) Excellence: our goal is to do everything with excellence because we want to honor God in all that we do.

3) Biblically-Centered: we believe that the main reasons the church exists is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, build His kingdom, and grow His people into spiritually mature disciples. To do this, we ensure that everything we do in every ministry is centered around the Bible and its Gospel message.

4) Relationally driven: Ministry is about relationships - a relationship with God and relationships with others. In this, we strive to build relational bridges in all that we do.

Our Beliefs

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).
  • We believe that there is one God consisting of 3 persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, Matt 28:19, John 10:30).
  • We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:30), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matt 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Heb. 4:15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His atoning death (1 Cor. 15:3, Eph. 1:7, Heb. 2:9), His resurrection (Luke 24:6-7, John 11:25, 1 Cor. 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19), and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Rev. 19:11).
  • We believe that humanity is made right with God only by faith in Christ, and that by His grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:16-19, 5:24, Eph. 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to the resurrection of life, and the lost to the resurrection of death (John 5:28-29).
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is at work today, dwelling in believers, and enabling us to live godly lives (1 Cor. 3:16, 6:19-20, Gal. 5:22-25).
  • We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a separate experience apart from salvation (Acts 1:4–5, 8:12–17, 19:1–6), given for power in witness (Acts 1:8). This experience is accompanied by spiritual manifestations (Acts 2:4, 10:44–46), with evidence expressed through a variety of gifts, including tongues, prophecy, healing, and others, as the Spirit distributes to each one individually (1 Cor. 12:7–11, 29–30).
  • We believe that believers are called to live a life of holiness (1 Peter 1:15–16, Heb. 12:14), to grow continually in the grace and knowledge of the Lord (2 Peter 3:18, Col. 1:10), and to be transformed into the likeness of Christ, reflecting His character in daily life (Rom. 8:29, 2 Cor. 3:18, Eph. 5:1–2).
  • We believe that God created mankind in His own image as male and female (Gen. 1:26–27), and that God instituted marriage at creation as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Gen. 2:24, Matt 19:4–6, Malachi 2:14).
  • We believe that the church is called to be Christ’s witness to the world (Acts 1:8, Matt 5:14–16), faithfully devoted to sound biblical doctrine (Acts 2:42, 2 Tim 1:13–14, Jude 1:3), while graciously welcoming people as Christ has welcomed us (Rom. 15:7, Luke 19:10, Matt 9:10-13). We believe the church walks with believers through spiritual transformation (2 Cor. 3:18, Rom. 12:2) and discipleship, equipping them to grow into maturity in Christ (Matt 28:19–20, Eph. 4:11–15, Col. 1:28). At Hope Church we call this a SOLID core with SOFT edges.
  • We believe in the importance of the local church as the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:27, Eph. 1:22–23), where believers are devoted to fellowship (Acts 2:42, Heb. 10:24–25), to the teaching of God’s Word (Acts 2:42, Eph. 4:11–14), and to outreach and witness to the world (Matt 28:19–20, Acts 1:8, Rom. 10:14–15).
